WAXING

STUDIO

Nestled in the heart of Columbia, Tennessee, we at The Honeysuckle Tribe pride ourselves in offering the hair removal by waxing, to be an experience that is not like any other. We combine environment, hospitality, premium products, and comfort techniques to create the best possible waxing experience. Here at The Honeysuckle Tribe, we primarily use premium hard or stripless wax that adheres to the hair follicle verses the skin, as to eliminate the possibility of lifting or burning the skin.  We have spent countless hours researching the best quality products for waxing and our enhancement services. Every service at The Honeysuckle Tribe is 100% customizable, with considerations of skin type, hair texture, hair density, and strand size, for each client.

Story

The Honeysuckle Tribe began as a vision, a common start for many businesses. This vision emerged in the fall/winter of 2020, following personal challenges that hinted at a ray of hope. During this period, I faced the closure of my interior design business due to a divorce, lost my job in hospitality management as it was deemed non-essential, and experienced the profound loss of my unborn daughter, Micheal Ann, at 23 weeks pregnant. These events led me to soul-search for answers, yearning for brightness, joy, and purpose in honor of my daughter. With a passion for aesthetics and the desire to enhance women's inner beauty to boost their confidence, I embarked on a journey to address unwanted hair concerns. My vision was to create a space where women could feel connected, beautiful, and embraced – a sisterhood, a club, a tribe providing sanctuary for women. Pouring my heart and soul into this dream, I started my technical training in Aesthetics in the spring of 2021. Initially focusing on skincare, I swiftly transitioned to specializing in hair removal due to the immediate satisfaction it brings, despite the associated discomfort. Delving deep into research on techniques, wax ingredients, and aftercare, I aimed to minimize client discomfort. After obtaining my license, I joined a bustling waxing salon in Nashville, appreciating the experience but feeling that the service lacked a personal touch for such an intimate treatment. Additionally, I believed that enhancing wax ingredients and slightly extending service times could significantly improve results. The commute to work became tiresome after relocating to Columbia, prompting me to share with my husband my strong belief in transitioning my vision into reality. In May 2022, The Honeysuckle Tribe was born. Drawing inspiration from my love for gardening, particularly nurturing flowers, I found solace in the therapeutic process of fostering growth. This ritual and connection to nature became the design essence of my business. Initially operating from a small room within a local salon, I provided one service in the first week. Fast forward a year, and my schedule was fully booked, signaling the need to recruit the right individuals to support my vision. It was the darkest moments of my life that propelled me to embark on this journey. My ultimate goal for this venture is to empower women to embrace and exude confidence. -NaTasha S. Jarrett

My personal mission at The Honeysuckle Tribe is to use my background with hospitality & interior design and fuse it with esthetics to create a guest focused comforting-environment. I want to create a club or tribe of people who also share insecurities towards unwanted hair and help them produce their confident self. A place that feels comfortable. Our clients are more than just guest, here they are family.

Our Name

Honeysuckle flowers, known scientifically as Lonicera, have long been associated with happiness, affection, and sweetness, particularly in the context of new love. They evoke gentle nostalgia for initial romances, memories of past relationships, and the pleasure of bygone days. Honeysuckle symbolizes a deep call to those seeking a stronger spiritual bond. Its fragile beauty inspires us to uncover the depths of our being, leading us on a journey of self-discovery and increased mindfulness. Yellow honeysuckle flowers symbolize friendship, trust, and respect, making them an ideal gift for someone you hold dear and respect deeply. Honeysuckle, known for its delicate appearance, is a resilient plant. Originally from Eurasia, once it takes root in new soil, it spreads and flourishes effortlessly. A tribe refers to a traditional social community of individuals. The essence of human culture lies in the strength of collective identity, the individuals we choose to connect with as our own. This community collectively experiences similar insecurities about beauty.

Meet Katelyn
Body Waxing Specialist

Hi! My name is Katelyn and I’m a licensed esthetician. I am a wife of 4 years to my amazing husband and a dog mom to our fur baby, Stark. I love movies, pop culture and music (Specifically Taylor Swift, hello fellow Swifties!). In 2017 I fell in love with everything skincare. From the relaxation of a facial to the excitement of waxing has made me so happy in my career choice. I’ve struggled with self confidence and body image for a long time. With a lot of therapy, hard work and daily affirmations I have reclaimed myself and my body from societal standards. My belief is that everyone deserves to feel beautiful and happy in their skin. My goal is to help women feel amazing by providing the services I love.

Love yourself, love your mind, and love your body.

Meet NaTasha
WAX TRAINER
Body Waxing Specialist

Hello! I am NaTasha, a native of middle Tennessee, a mother of five (including twin stepdaughters, a son, a daughter, and a baby who was born into heaven), a wife, and an aesthetician. My passion for cosmetology stems from my desire to empower women by helping them feel beautiful. After losing my job in hospitality management during the pandemic and experiencing the loss of my unborn child, I took a moment to reevaluate my life and decided to pursue my dream of a career in aesthetics. My fascination with waxing began at the age of 11 when I sought to address an unwanted unibrow. The boost in confidence far outweighed the temporary discomfort of hair removal. Dealing with hormonal facial hair myself, I understand the struggle that many face, literally. Waxing brings me so much happiness, as I love to see the transformation of insecurities to immeasurable confidence.
